About
The Storey Mill Woods tract is a 953.4 acre tract of woods located in Richmond County, GA and owned by the City of Hephzibah. As part of the City of Hephzibah's 2018 comprehensive plan to add quality-of-life activities and active spaces within it's community. The equestrian use areas and a future horse campground is a welcome sight for the many horse owners in this area as well as throughout Georgia and South Carolina. Many members of this community are actively creating, marking and maintaining trails throughout this beautiful property so if you're interested in volunteering please contact us.
Location
Storey Mill Woods is conveniently located in Hephzibah, Georgia between Augusta, GA and Waynesboro, GA off of HWY 25. Take HWY 88 West, Turn left onto Brothersville Rd for approximately 1 mile, then turn right onto Storey Mill Road and after 2.1 miles the facility will be on your left. Look for the first yellow gate and the Storey Mill Woods sign.
Horse Trails
There are currently 6.2 miles of forest roads and many miles of horse trails that are currently available to ride. However, visitors to this property must understand that this is currently a work in progress by an all volunteer organization and community members and there are many things to accomplish such as mark trails, picking up trash that was inherited with the property, clearing brush to make trails to the waterfront areas, map creation, and many many more elements to make this all come together. Please understand the constraints while enjoying your time horseback riding at Storey Mill Woods!
